China economy expands 7.4 pct in 2014

BEIJING, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- China's economy grew 7.4 percent in 2014, in line with market expectations and registering the weakest expansion in 24 years, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics Tuesday.

Growth in the fourth quarter came in at 7.3 percent, flat with the rate seen in the third, the data showed.
